Music is a vital part of worship here at Notre Dame of Mt. Carmel Church. Singing and music making enrich our souls and strengthen our sense of community. Our ministry involves people of many diverse ages and skills working at leading and inspiring the celebrations at Notre Dame by using their musical talents to praise God.

We would like to invite everyone, anytime during the year, to become involved in the Music Ministry of our church. We have various ensembles available as well as numerous opportunities to share your love for God through music. Below are the music programs currently available through our ministry.

Adult Choir - Director: Jim Keefe (973) 538-1358, ext. 109 or email: jkeefe@ndcarmel.com
- Ministers at 10:30AM Mass on Sundays and Special Occasions, from September through June.
- Open to all Adults and high school students who can sing on pitch and have a desire to sing.
- Rehearsals every Thursday from 7:00 PM to 9:00PM and Sunday at 10:00AM in the choir room.

- Ministers the 1st and 3rd Sunday of every month at 9:00AM Mass, from Septemeber through Pentecost Sunday.
- Open to students in 2nd through 8th grade.
- Rehearsals on selected Wednesdays, 5:15PM to 6:00PM, in the choir room.

- Ministers 1st and 3rd Sundays of every month before the 9:00AM Mass, from September through Easter Sunday.
- Open to children in preschool through 1st grade.
- Rehearsals on selected Wednesdays, 5:15PM to 6:00PM, in the Parish Hall.

Musicians/Praise Band:
Parishioners have stepped forward with their musical talents of guitar, French horn, flute and percussion. If you play a musical instrument well, please consider joining this fun and exciting group. - Ministers at two Masses per month, from September through June.
- Open to all teenagers who can play an instrument and have a love for music.
- Rehearsals every Wednesday at 7:00PM in the church.

Moms & Tots Music - Director:Lisa Scanzera (973) 659-0301
Calling all Moms (or Dads, or Grandmas, or Grandpas, etc.) & Toddlers! Join us every Wednesday at 9:30 AM in the choir room, for 45 minutes of music, Bible stories, instruments, dancing and just plain FUN. Toddlers are engaged in meaningful songs, dancing and storytelling that celebrate their love for God, their church, themselves, their families and friends. Gathers September through June.
